I recently got a Wonderswan (well, I now have TWO Wonderswans since I initially didn't realize the difference between a WSColor and a SwanCrystal, so now I have an LE FF WSC and a blue SwanCrystal) and was wondering what are some good games to look into for it? So far I only have Final Fantasy and Judgement Silversword, and I just bought Buffers Evolution. I KNOW I want RUN=DIM (if I can ever find it... dammit) and the Klonoa game, but other than that *shrugs* Anyways, whats the deal on these titles: Rhyme Rider Kerorikan Makaimura Rainbow Islands Rockman EXE WS Rockman & Forte Golden Axe Engacho Ultraman Those are the main ones I'm looking into buying. ALSO, upon seeing the SwanCrystal my "not really a console gamer at all" roomate was so amazed by it that he has decided that he wants a SwanCrystal. Now, he's a HUGE fan of Gundam, so he's set me to the task of getting him a SwanCrystal and a bunch of Gundam games. Will he be able to really play any of those games though? I mean, aren't they ALL SRPGs? Are there any guides for them so that he might be able to play them? I'm just afraid he's going to get a SwanCrystal and 20 Gundam games and not be able to play any of them. Granted, I'm sure he'd be just as happy putting them on display somewhere, as he rarely plays non-PC games anyways.
One of the Gundams is an H shooter, i forget its name right now :/ Final Lap is fun driver, nice road gfx...........Swan Colluseum is the WS equivalent of a melee fighter, pretty cool.
Makaimura is cool, as is Rockman & Forte... but when it's already available in colour on the GBA, it isn't worth it. The WS is a neat idea, but it's just a cheap little system with very poor software support. I never trusted Bandai, and neither should you.
I don't really agree that software support was poor for the WonderSwan. It's more that the lineup had limited appeal outside Japan since many titles required Japanese reading skills. Many of them are anime franchise. If you can't read Japanese then I suggest: - Mr. Driller - Guilty Gear Petit 1/2 - Rakujong And if you like rhythm games: - Beatmania - Street Dancer - Turntablist
Rockman? You forgot about Rockman EXE N1 Battle, which is actually just a condensed version of BattleChip GP on GBA, which everybody hates except me. I liked that game...EXEWS is supposed to be rather good though. It's a platformer similiar to Transmission on GCN. There's a Neon Genesis title, and obviously the Final Fantasy ones. Gundam, Digimon... Too many italics.
