My community college plans on getting new Arcade systems. This means they are going to sell the ones they have now. Its only 2 arcade systems though. One is MK3 Ultimate and the other one is Daytona USA. From what my friend who works in the main office told me, they will sell the MK3 for $300 for the cabinet, everything; and the Daytona USA for $500. Are those cheap prices especially for the Daytona USA??

well they won't sell mk3 for $300 nor daytona for $500. They may get it, but technically that's just the asking price as they may not sell (hehehe). Offer them $250 per cab - try to blag it that their age and crappyness of game gives them less value etc. and have yourself a bargain :smt083

  3. Yeh, that's about par - a local family fun center place here is selling their old MK3 machine for $300 as well. Try and talk them down as Legit suggested. With any luck, you'll have your own home arcade setup. :smt023 Then all you have to do is ditch the Mk3 board and get a good game for it. :smt043

You mean the original Daytona? If yes, i disagree

The original Daytona was the best arcade racing game period.

I went to tons of different arcades, including the Sega sponsored Gameworks (when it was still open), and even with newer games the original Daytona was the "money maker".

Not even Daytona USA 2 grab more attention than that.

By the way madhatter, grab Daytona USA. Last time i talked with someone in arcade business, they said Daytona USA was worth a lot more than newer releases because it's sucess and popularity among people. Like i said, it's the "money maker" :smt045

This reminded me of something. I haven't played Daytona USA for two weeks now. Gotta go to the nearest arcade asap. :-D

I remember seeing a para para paradise arcade cab on yahoo auctions japan.

It ended for less than £800 i was a 1st mix plus machine and it came with the 2nd mix upgrade disk. It was soul destroying knowing i could have had one but the shipping from japan would have crippled me.

Hehe i noticed the pic in your sig. It wouldn happen to be deluxe looks like that from the bit you captured. :smt023
