I had figured I had sold pretty much everthing I had owned. I'm just having a rummage around my home and I've found a few things already. A Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2 (Beta) Dreamcast White label has turned up... not surprising seeing as I had at least 30 copies of it (many of which I sold here and elsewhere!) Loose and abused Headhunter (both discs) Dreamcast White label has also turned up. The prices for these seem to be ROFL as of late and given as Headhunter is a popular game, Ker-ching! A shitload of R2R:R2 did I may even have more than one copy left so if I find a spare NP EDIT: Just found another 5 copies if you're interested As for Headhunter I dunno - I remember some bug really annoyed me when I was trying to complete it fast or something... I forgot... but I may cobble something together from the half a dozen dismantled Dreamcasts and give it another day in court. If it did go you'd have to make it worth my while though but it is an item that may generate some interest so it would probably have to go via auction, if it did go
How come you sold everything? Im basically in the process of selling everything I don't have nostalgia for from when I was a kid. As I just don't have the space or the desire.
Some things I sold to buy other things, overall I had alot of nice stuff but not all at once. Other things I sold due to RL money woes of the time. I had two of my motorcycles stolen, one in mid-2005 and the other start of 2006, so needed a cash lump sum to pay the outstanding contractual balance as there was a shitty clause which means you have to pay everything off if anything happened to them (damned HPI of the times). If it wasn't for the clause I'd have kept the stuff and kept making the repayments NP. Also on the second 'bike before it got stolen (which I bought to replace the first stolen 'bike!), I needed a substantial cash deposit not only to help make the finance repayments manageable, but also to increase the chances of loan success to get me back on the road. My unreleased games had to go for those reasons as they were of highest value and easiest to sell in a hurry The other stuff had to go because I became unemployed Q1 2006 and had a bad crash towards the end of the year meaning it would be hard to get back into work, the DWP were shafting me with regards to benefit and I was struggling to make ends meet. I ended up hammering my credit card just on food, clothes and fuel etc before it hit the limit I had a particularly hard time mailing the stuff I sold in this period as every penny that came in already had to go back out before I got it to stay afloat, which meant I had to scrape every penny to post stuff out. So yeah. Sold my collection to pay the bills of items which ended up getting stolen. It sucks, but that is life Now I'm still unemployed and unemployable rebuilding will not be impossible but prove difficult, so these few finds are scraping the barrel (relative to what I previously owned) but still quite nice for me. I may donate the Amiga CD32 modem Engineering Sample to the site though for preservation as it doesn't interest me too much. I only bought it because no one else will (who cares about the CD32? lol!) but it is still a piece of gaming history regardless. The rest perhaps I'll sell to pay for my Ray Ban Aviators and then change the focus of my collection. I'd like to get my hands on Dreamcast Set 4 and Set 5.24 Dev boxes and a GD Writer again and a GD-X GD-R Duplicator though.
Woot some more! I'min the process of surrendering my drivers licnce and had to photocopy some medical documents. I went downstairs, copied a page, turned aorund and guess what I saw? Crazy Taxi 2 White Label for Dramcast in the side of a translucence plastic box, Result! I wonder what else will turn up?
Woot some more I was digging around a drawer in my kitchen and found the almost-virgin mail away PlayStation Registered Users 08 demo disc SCED_02676. I remember when I got the PSone I sent an in-pack form away and some weeks later this disc came back. I'm guessing it is quite rare so I may as well keep it for another decade I did a backup for safekeeping anyway and noticed the audio tracks. I'm not sure what game it is from but I quite like the first track on this disc The others are neither here nor there.
