I'm pretty much done with the huge workload I had to deal with.

I'm looking into placing some google ads, to keep the lights on.

Keep you posted, but you'll probably see the improvements
    shortly.

Please dont use Adwords...I think its the one anyway..Its the one where it underlines a word in a paragraph and links to some product. Its so intrusive. The other one is good though, Adsense. I dont mind those as much.

Google ads are cool, i don't see them as a problem (except for those ones that are in the text like dot50cal mentioned). I don't bother on my site, but then again i only pay 3 bucks a month for hosting.

Adwords drive me nuts. Complete pain in the arse, slow sites down a hell of a lot and a pain in the arse for browing.
Adsense at the top or side of the screen I'd have no problem with

No, no adwords. Just some product placement or google.

It costs me almost $1500 a year for the server, so it's time it started paying for itself..

About those Google ad's, do people have to actually click the ad's in order for them to generate revenue, or does just having them on the site do the trick?

Having them on the site AFAIK, but since the boards get a ton of visits it should help out quite a lot. I've been looking into it myself but I havent done it yet for my site. The new server im getting is gonna cost 2500$ a year though, so it may have to be done.

Nope, they gotta be clicked, and you are forbidden to say CLICK THE ADS. You get a suprising amount of clicks tho.

    Good idea johnny,

aside from the fact that you see them everywhere, I buy 90 percent of my new games from play-asia, so if you are affiliated to them I could buy them all through ads on this site. I'm guessing quite a few people here use either lik-sang or play-asia so A) it is an approprite ad for the people here. B) it is something we would actually click on.

The google ones are fairly non-intrusive as well. Though they may not get clicked on that much - except in error.
