Ha lol that's it, thats why I couldn't find it.
It showed on some Dutch movie channel a while ago and the subtitles translated in to (translated again to english) something like The Fuckyou.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, never even heard of it before. Looks good from a quick search though.

Off the top of my head another few UK titles I liked - Trainspotting, Hallam Foe, Boston Kickout, the Business and Football Factory. Also Sex Lives of the potato men, though you'll probably only like it if you like Johnny Vegas.

Any of the Brazillian & Uruguayian members that can give their 2 cents on good movies from South America?

port187: In case you didn't know, "Der Wixxer" got a sequel, "Neues vom Wixxer". It's showing up on IMDb's list of recommendations, but only in last place - what the heck? It's even got a higher rating.

Those who liked Banlieue 13 and/or free running/parcour in general might get a kick out of Yamakasi, though it's not quite as good.

As promised, I went through my DVDs earlier and was surprised at how few domestic movies I actually own... Matter of fact, all those that I'd have recommend have been mentioned already. So I'll just throw in a few final titles just for good measure:
    - Brazil
    - Not exactly an insider tip either, but "La cité des enfants perdus", and everything else by Jeunet & Caro (eg Amélie, Delicatessen).
    - Nobody Knows, one of the best movies ever in my opinion.
    - The Day of the Jackal (the '73 UK one, not the '97 US remake "The Jackal")
    - Moon - a bit predictable maybe, but they got the "2001: A Space Odyssey" atmosphere just right
    - Let The Right One In. I've only read the book so far, but judging from that (and some reviews) it should be good.
And finally, even though it's a Hollywood movie, everyone needs to have seen "American Beauty" in my opinion.

    Excellent movie.

Also saw this in a cinema recently, with a live pianist providing the score :)

Trainspotting is an incredible movie. Apparently it, along with The Full Monty, was responsible for a lot of the influx of cash into British indie movies in the late 90s, so that's great too.

Re: The Business, Football Factory - it sounds like you're a fan of Danny Dyer. I'm getting a little sick of seeing him all over the place, and his TV show about UFOs was unbearable. Football Factory was alright, but if we're going for British football hooliganism it's got to be I.D.

Since there's a bit of football hooliganism (along with a good helping of British organised crime), Rise of the Footsoldier is worth a look too. Caused a bit of a stir when it was released recently as it was based on real events (however loosely).

Full Monty is another good one - I live in Sheffield so its great seeing all the places I recognise. In fact the school the kid went to in it is a minutes walk from where I work.

Agree with you on Danny Dyer, he was very funny in the early days but is a little bit of a tit now a days. That UFO program was very funny, for all the wrong reasons. The other two films look quite good, will have to check them out.

I'm surprised 28 days later & its sequel haven't been mentioned, they usually come up often. 28 days was excellent I thought, if not just to see London deserted. 28 weeks was a bit crap though.

    Some more UK suggestions:
    Kidulthood
    The History Boys
    Withnail and I

Black Sheep (New Zealand) was fairly amusing too. Bad Taste may interest some...

Bad Taste is way into B-Movie territory... But if you happen to like those, great! If you do, I can also recommend the works of Jörg Buttgereit, for example Nekromantik and Schramm. Probably next to impossible to get without resorting to P2P though.

I saw Nekromantik and thought it was pretty bad. Not bad because it depicts extremely disgusting acts of necrophilia, but bad because everything was just awful: camera, score, "effects" (cheesy early 80's computer effects during the "love" scene - awwg!) and story. It isn't that bad it you regard it as an enhancement of your general knowledge on films (in that case it's a must actually) - but if you ask me: No one would watch this pile of crap if it wasn't about necrophilia but simple rape & murder.
Therefore, even if it didn't sound like one, it's actually a recommendation from my side and I agree that Nekromantik is worth watching to widen your film knowledge. But at the same time, I think it is a low-quality movie in every way.

Another German splatter/horror director who is worth a try is Olaf Ittenbach. His early works (the more recent ones are awful, unpersonal splatter crap IMO) are extremely basic-looking, but they convey are certain charme that some genrefans won't be able to resist. The amateur-status of films like Black Past or Burning Moon is always apparent (his parents & friends played all the roles in Black Past, he impersonated the main character himself, including the Bavarian accent :p), but if you don't expect a good splatter movie but an interesting early work with some really nice ideas, I'd certainly recommend to you Black Past, Burning Moon and Premutos :)

    Kopps http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0339230/

    Good Swedish comedy

    Here is the plot:
Police officer Benny is obsessed with American police cliches and livens up his own boring everyday life with dreams of duels with bad guys. But poor Benny and his colleagues doesn't have much to do in the small town of Högboträsk. Most of their days are spent drinking coffee, eating sausage waffles and chasing down stray cows. Peace and quiet is the dream of every politician, but for the Swedish authorities, the lack of crooks is reason to close the local police station. When the cops investigate a suspected act of vandalism, they realise that they themselves may be able to raise the crime statistics high enough to stay in business.

    De grønne slagtere http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0342492/

Danish comedy, one of my favorite movies!
    Warning, lots of black humor!

    Plot:
Svend and Bjarne work for a butcher in a small Danish town. Fed up with their boss' arrogance, they decide to start their own butcher shop. After dismal beginnings, an unfortunate accident happens which coincides with a large order of meat. One hasty decision leads to another and soon the business thrives...

Just finished watching it... and it's a definite  from me.

If you haven't read the novel it's based on, watch it simply because it's a good, modern vampire movie (but not one of the "sparkly" ones), and if you have, watch it anyways since it's one of the best adaptions of a book I've seen. Yes, they've left out a few parts and turned down some of the gore and pedophilia (got your attention now, haven't I?), but those mostly wouldn't have worked too well on screen anyways.

Also watched "Du Levande" two days ago. If you're into surreal shit, give it a try. I still can't make head or tails of it but I sure liked it anyways.

    Canada has lots of films.

They just all have American flags on them.
