Post your own. Ideally ones you've played. NES: Ikari Warriors SNES: X-Kaliber 2094 Game Boy: A Boy and his Blob: The Rescue of Princess Blobette Saturn: Sonic R N64: War (spit) Gods (spit)
I will only list games that I have owned at one point. - Nintendo - NES: Hm... TMNT. The first one. The Ghostbusters game was pretty awful too SNES: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. I loved the show and the series, but this game... this game.... *stabs something* (Honorable mention: Batman & Robin) Game Boy: Mortal Kombat GBA: Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis N64: Superman 64, but that one is a bit of a low hanging fruit Gamecube: NBA Ballers. DS/3DS: The Age of Empires series. Love the games on the PC, hated the DS port. Wii: Chicken Shoot Wii U: All the games I own I've looked into before buying, so haven't had anything bad... yet. - Sony - PS1: Any of the Driver games. When you have GTA3, making a game solely about the driving aspect shouldn't be worse than that! PS2: Celebrity Deathmatch. I should have known better than letting my fandom of this show dictate a purchase. PS3: Rogue Warrior PS4: None yet. Been smart so far. - Microsoft - XB: Kabuki Warriors XB360: NFL Tour. I LOVED the NFL Street series, but this game just took out everything that was fun and replaced it with bullshit product placement and shitty MTV. - Misc - PC: SimCity 5. It actually beat out Extreme Paintbrawl, as I was a longtime fan of the Sim series. Game Gear: Shaq Fu (Gift from Grandma.)
Atari 2600: Pac Man. It just blows. Even ET is better once you figure out the pitfalls. NES: Cheetahmen2. Aside from being unfinishable, it plays crap. Atari Lynx: Super Off Road. There's a reason this game is rare, it suck with piss poor control and poor framerate. N64: Superman. If you buy this, you are buying just for donor shell for Everdrive or other stuff. Just don't play this. DS/DSi: Battheship. Was expecting it be like the old board game, it played like the movie version and is not worth the plastic they are made out of. Gamecube: Batman Dark Tomorrow. Bad camera, boring repetitive stuff, and just shitty.
Remember how terrible superhero games were pre-Arkham? Other than Spiderman 2 (which EVERY SPIDER-MAN GAME HAS RIPPED OFF SINCE THEN) they were all terrible. Also I'm not sure Cheetahmen 2 counts, since it wasn't finished (I think). Also, fun fact: Action Enterprises (who made Action 52) were going to release a handheld console that would play NES, SNES, Genesis, and PC-CDROM games. Surprisingly, it never existed.
Lmao the Action52 guys seemed to think very highly of themselves despite being completely and utterly incompetent. -doulomb
Dreamcast - Star Wars Demolition. What a horrible game - I got this as part of a bundle, it went to the curb after about 10 minutes of gameplay.
This doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. GTA3 was released years after the original Driver which was a groundbreaking game at the time, not just due to the graphics but the fact that it captured the driving and physics of east coast car chase movie classics. Chronologically GTA1 and GTA2 were the only things out at the same time and just don't compare at all. Totally valid point as far as Driver 3 onwards is concerned.
I can't really say which game was the worst for me. If I find a game boring or bad, I just stop playing it.
On the platforms I have played... PS1 - Rascal PS2 - Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2 Gamecube - Go! Go! Hypergrind! (Not horrible, but suffers similar issues to many Tony Hawk clones, not being as smooth) Xbox - Counter-Strike (Not even a bad game, just that version was very meh compared to the PC version and honestly the only remotely less than perfect Xbox game I touched) Gameboy Advance - Mighty Beanz (Why was I a dumb consumer as a kid?) Gameboy Color - Little Nicky (Same question as above) Nintendo DS - Rayman DS (If I never touched the PC port, I would have thought people were crazy for praising Rayman 2) Xbox 360 - Quake 4 (Not a good port, which is why I found it bad) PC - 007 Nightfire
XBOX - Possibly Drake of the 99 Dragons or Shrek, although Kabuki Warriors was a solid choice mentioned earlier. PS3/360/PC - Ride to Hell: Retribution or Sonic the Hedgehog, if that ever made it to PC. GBA - No Rules: Get Phat Wii U - Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric iOS - Final Fantasy: All the Bravest PC - The War Z
Saturn - Planet Joker I 1CC'd just to say I did. Never again. Never. again. 3DS - Cubic Ninja "Hey! Let's make a game where you have to turn the console around to move! And let's make this on a system with a clamshell design and a heavy emphasis on a 3D gimmick that is rendered completely useless! And let's put in some cheesy humor that screams, "Hey guy! We're just like you! Look at us! Please like us." My wife got that game for me for Christmas because it was $10 at Best Buy. I still pick on her from time to time for buying me one of the worst games I have ever played.
The funny thing is that Nintendo doesn't know how to block the Sky 3DS. It's been released for more than 6 months already and the compatibility is still 100%.
Wii U: Tank! Tank! Tank! Repetitive, mind-numbing and shallow crap. It's unbelievable that this got a retail release.
-NES: Dick Tracy. (Honorable mention: Action 52. I only disqualify it due to it being an unlicensed title.) -SNES: Virtual Bart -NeoGeo: Legend of Success Joe -Genesis: Art of Fighting (shitty port of a good game, especially when the SNES version went above and beyond with a fixed translation and a canon extended ending among other polishing fixes) -Gameboy: Earthworm Jim; it loses so much of the graphical charm of the console ports and has even more clunky gameplay -Game Gear: Fatal Fury Special; a shoddy port with half the cast and severely stripped down gameplay
I haven't played that yet, it's hard to knock a free game though. Also M. Bison, most console ports on the GB were crap. Especially fighting games. Mainly fighting games. I think I'd go with one of the MKs as the worst.
