Question: If a GD-Writer is offered to you for the right price, no GD-Rs and you don't actually own a Katana kit, is it still worth buying it? I know it's of no use to me without something to connect to it but it reminds me of when I impulse-bought an external Silicon Graphics CD-ROM. It sat on my desk for months until I was offered an Octane2 workstation. They don't have anywhere for a CD/DVD drive to connect so an external is essential. Not only did said CD-ROM fit the bill bang on but it also turned out to be a Toshiba DVD-ROM, not the CD-ROM that the seller thought it was. So, from my previous lesson I have to wonder, so I buy it or do I not? Those of you who have one already, what did you pay for yours, and what would you consider a good price today? I'm in the UK BTW so prices in GB£ would be beneficial but not essential. Cheers!
If you have to ask others whether or not you should buy something, then the answer is probably no, you shouldnt. There seems to be doubt in your head.
Thats a good way to look at it! I shall probably leave it then and focus on the bits I REALLY want first!
Maybe you could offer to buy it for someone on the boards who needs one? They can be tricky to find when you want one.
That would'be been a good idea but unfortunately it is no longer available, it was sold to someone else some time ago for quite a bit of money so I probably wouldn't have bought it in the end anyway.
