So I was in Play-N-trade with my friends and we see a couple selling a Genesis model 2 as well as 2 NES model 1. So he checks if they work and of course both NES give the blinking red light which is an easy fix. The Genesis on the other hand gave a weird buzzing sound and scrambled image. Long story short I got all 3 consoles for free and took them back to my house to test them. The idiot forgot to change the channel on the RF switch! I walked away with a perfectly working Genesis Model 2.
He hopped in the fail boat pretty quick... The PnT near me doesn't have an electronics specialist, so when I brought my psp in for repairs the guy stands there and tells me it's the battery. Tries 3 batteries and replies "there's nothing more we can do." I buy a battery from amazon.com and it works... Only cool about this store is a super nintendo with a black case and blue led.
I have yet to visit the PnT near my place. I didn't know they carry old school consoles, so I might just pay them a visit this weekend .
i've never heard of Play N Trade. but apparently they're putting one in pretty close to my place of residence. i'll have to go check it out when it opens.
Sweet grab... I have a few of these stores near my house. The major one at the mall went out of business though. They all have retro games and I have found some really great Sega merchandise in them. Not much old import stuff, but they had games spanning back to Atari 2600 days. I cleared them out of their clean minty Sega Master System Titles.
The one near me actually went as far back as the Sears Tele-games. They just got a whole bunch of Colecovision stuff in recently so I have to check it out.
