I'm guessing that to do so using official tools you'd need an AGB gang writer?

Would anything else write to them, such as the unofficial linkers or do they only write to the unofficial carts they are designed for?

And would anyone know if it'd be possible to make or find a multiboot image that could be ran on a GBA that'd wipe the cart, and then write to it using data that could be sent from a GC or PC? (Guessing that'd require a lot of effort :( )

    You'd need the flasher.

With the old tall official dev carts it was fairly easy:
I am not sure what it's like with the newer style dev carts however...

Ah sorry, I mean Jeff Frohwein's MultiBoot cable (Version 2). See the FAQ: http://www.devrs.com/gba/files/mbv2faqs.php#NFMods

Yeah, he sold the MBV2 rights to Lik-Sang not long after he made the first batch. I think I have one of the MBV2 clones at home, so I guess I could try it myself...

Edit: I wrote 6 years ago on the forum (earlier quote) that the MBV2 transfer client was open source. I pretty sure it was but I am unable to locate the source code right now....but it should be out there.

Been trying all night to make this:
    http://www.ajo.es/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/imb_schematic1.gif
    Not much luck.
Got no 16F84s but got one 16F84A someplace, no idea where, and tried on the equilivent 16F627A but as soon as I turn the GBA SP on with the cables in it just refuses to load up (if I remove the LPT cable then it works fine).
Guessing it may have something to do with my using the intenal 4Mhz clock as I don't have a 3.28Mhz clock anywhere, though I might have one from my broken PAL SNES somewhere...

Might seen if I can find a crystal on ebay or find someone selling the cable...

You could try an unprotected circuit, but it could do damage to your hardware (pc & gba card & gba). So it is not a really recommended method.

I built the circuit to that spec, compiled the code for a 16F627A and 16F84A and tried with both with the proper crystal and no luck.
