Okay, so at one point or another we've all had someone mistakenly call are number. sometimes there nice and say sorry. Others are rude,drunk,or mad when they find out the news. Do you ever troll back at them or do you just hang up? The other morning I got this call from this crack head looking for some coke. When I found out he had mistakenly called me thinking I was his drug dealer I got the recorder and had some fun with him. Warning very vulgar! Here's pretty much the conversation: Me: "Hello?" Him: "Hello?" Me: "Who is this?" Him: "Well who is this?" Me (Gee I duno maybe the person who your trying to call ) "Jimmy" (Not my real name btw) Him: "Well listen here motherfucker I gave you 3K wheres my coke you cock sucking motherfucker!" (Heres where I start to have fun xD) Me: "No I don't have 3k of coke, just pepsi." Him: "What the hell are you talking about you drunk or something? Wheres my fucking cocaine asshole! Me: "Sir, I told you I only carry Pepsi products here at my store, if you want Cokeacola call the cokeacolla people." Him: "Come fucker give me the drugs I want them now." Me: "Oh well in that case I got this call recorded and its heading off to the cops with your number and info cause yall got the wrong number loser! " Him: "I call bullshit to your fucking lies!" Me: (Pretends to grab other phone and dial the local police) Him: "Fuck you! You fucking dick! I hope you burn!" And then I hung up and thats the last I heard of him,Went back to bed and brought the recording down to the cops after I got done getting ready for the day on my way to work. Ever have crap like this happen or am I the only one here?
My go to phrase: Caller: "Oh sorry sir, wrong number!" Me: "Don't worry, the phone was ringing anyway..." A lot of people don't get it...
My old man used to say things like "She went off drinking" - "He's hung over and stoned" - and people would really believe him. He'd come up with really outrageous stories. I am just extremely polite and tell them they got the wrong number. I had a really old lady that used to call every so often for someone, and she always got my number instead. We'd chat for a few minutes. "How have you been? How's that cough?". I've had interesting mini-conversations with many wrong numbers. And I do get A LOT of wrong numbers because the last five digits of my home number are 1 ( so my number is something like 33 XXX 11111).
One evening my brother got a call from some drunk guys who wanted to order pizza, he kindly told them that they had the wrong number and hung up. They called again and he hung up again. The third time they called he took their order and we never heard from them again.
Hope you don't dial my brother. He has a nasty troll for wrong number. On his personal phone, he answers normally only if he recognizes the number. If it's unfamiliar or unlisted, he answer sounding like something from James Bond. The last one I heard him answer with "Agent M here, your cover is about to be blown. Meet at the designated corner now for emergency pickup before they blow you away" then he hung up.
