WTB: (2x) Adaptoid N64 controller to PC Adapters

Hey you all, I'm looking for two Adaptoid N64 controller to PC adapters. Used ones would be fine as well.

Anyone have any? There's currently none on eBay. :-(

    Thanks...

you're searching exactly for these or just for a piece of hardware to connect N64 controllers to the pc?

Exactly those since they support both the Rumble and Memory pack feature, and also since they are a lot smaller than the common bulky adapters.

Their quite uncommon, and often range between $40 and $60 a piece when they do show up. They are considered the very best adapters ever made for hooking up N64 controllers to a PC, not just because of the fact that they support rumble and memory packs, but because they work with essentialy everything (insanly high compatibility).

They stoped being produced back in 2002, and from experiance I can say that when an online seller gets them in stock they are typicly sold out faster then you can say "$5 stack of Radiant Silverguns".

In other words, if no one here has any, and you find a huge stash for sale somewhere else online, let me know ;)

if any store online gets them, it's this one...

I'm looking for one too, but none are on ebay right now and that store doesn't have them in either right now. There are other options, but compatibility is a factor.

Plus the ones I did see on ebay had stock photos, so I didn't trust them.

Yeah, I've been a victim to a Sega Genesis 16-Bit console seller (It wasn't boxed, and I could swear the picture used wasn't a stock photo).

I think it might require some soldering and cutting a USB cable. I'd prefer just getting an official Adaptoid instead of having to go through all that work.

Yea, but if we know how to make them someone can create a bunch and sell them so you (and whoever else) doesn't have to go through all that work, and has a source for purchasing them from.

That would be good, I guess, if someone uses a bunch of N64 controller extension cords and cuts them up with some usb cables and twist up the connectors somehow to correspond and function the same as an Adaptoid adapter (including rumble & memory pack feature).

I'm just scared that home-made ones wouldn't last very long.

I actualy tried building one myself, but for the printerport. unfortantly that was like my first build project so I think I held the iron to long on the components and burned them ;)
I have been thinking of rebuilding it just for fun..
and I'm pretty sure I have the schematic for a usb version somewhere here too. If I find them I post them here.

Heck, does anybody remember the old Assembler page, when you clicked "mission statement" you'd end up at a 404 page with an add for exactly this adapter? :D
