Wwant one that gets soldered to the dvdrom board and can be turned on and off. The Xecuter solution is nice but I want to be able to go back to live without worrying, ever.

People with 360 firmware chips get banned just as easy as a dvd drive that is flashed.

Even the ones with on/off switches? Could've sworn that wasn't the case but oh well.

those prob not as much because if you turn them off they dont patch the firmware...all these modchips do is patch the firmware on the fly to allow backups.

Im saying youd prob be say using the backups offline.

Its actually better to have firmware I believe because the switch will do nothing since microsoft is always finding ways to find out if the 360 your using is chipped or using a firmware. Basically you'll never be safe using it for both offline and online play. The easiest thing to do is find and buy a cheap second hand 360 and get a custom firmware on that just for offline play.

If you have the modded firmware enabled, you will be banned.

If you have it stock, no chance.

Never use backups on live, it's just silly.

Even if you played offline with the switch, people got banned who never connected to live and played burnt games, and upon their first connection were found to be banned in some cases.

However some of my "friends" have not been banned at all. Just don't make a bad backup and your fine...

Just don't waste your time with the chip and get it flashed straight up.

Ill speak from personal experience that you just need to be carefull if your going to be using live, ive had a 360 with a flashed drive since xtreme 1.0 and ive never been banned.

either Im lucky or have been really carefull.
