WTB: 8 pin C shape DIN male connector/cable

As the title says I'm after an 8 pin C shape DIN male connector or cable to make an RGB cable for my Pioneer PX-7 MSX.

Am I right in thinking the MD mk1 uses the same connection? If so I will cannibalise one of those cables...

I just recently bought one on ebay for 9 bucks (MD1 RGB) easy to find.. not 100% sure it's the same, but if you cant get it to work with your msx I can use another so just sell it to me

 

After having a look it appears that the MD AV out is the same, so does anyone in the UK have a nice and cheap one to sell?

You could make one yourself, 8 pin din male and a scart cable go for a couple of bucks.

 

I have one lieing around, tell me where do you live and I'll tell you how much does shipping costs.

 

With a little bit of (no) luck what you want for it + shipping from spain to uk will be around 10 bucks as well.
I guess buying the connector at the local hw shop and building it yourself would be the only way to get it cheaper.

 

I already have built most of it myself, all I need is the DIN connector. I could buy one but the nearest place with one in stock is in the next town, and aside from that connector I have no need to go there. Yes i'm being lazy...

Failing that, go to your nearest TV repair shop, and ask nicely if they could order one - they might even have one!

@ retro - I've checked with Maplins, the one in town doesn't have any in stock and refuse to order it in. There is one in the next town but that would mean a bus journey exclusively for it - which looks like what I will have to do.

Unless someone has a spare MSX tape recorder lead - thats 8 pin din :nod:

 

They do mail order! Work out which is cheaper - the postage or the bus journey.
