    WTB: Atari Jaguar Games!

I know I'm a pretty new member, but that shouldn't be a problem as long as you get your payment, right? Either way, I've got an ebay account with 100% feedback to ease your mind ( "jahneml" ).

Anyways. I'm looking for a Jaguar for a friend (though I suppose I'll get plenty of play out of it before he receives it). At the least, I'd like just the console. They use the same 9v and RF adapter that, say, an NES uses, correct? A controller would be nice, as well, but again isn't necessary. Games are a plus. Broken systems wouldn't be horrible either, I don't mind a challenge.

Just let me know your price and approximate shipping cost. Pictures greatly appreciated! Thanks.

EDIT: I acquired a system, but am now looking for games!

Don't use a NES power adaptor. NES uses AC, Jaguar uses DC!

I know at work I know we had like 2 or 3 Jaguars, and I think they're around $60. I'm going to be out of town though until next Wednesday, so if you can't track one down by then let me know, and I'll check on the price. Hell I'm not even looking for a profit, I'll just pick one up and you can pay me cost+shipping. Shipping shouldn't be too much too since I'm a fellow midwest person.

I know I'm under the 50 post rule for selling, but I wasn't directly selling it. I just knew of where he could get one, and unfortunately our store doesn't have an online section for jaguar stuff, nor does it ship directly from the stores. So if I am wrong for posting this please let me know.

Edit- I forgot to mention, for the system it comes with all the hookups and one controller. If you wanted to know what games we had too I could write that down since it's not many.

Hah, I remember that now! I probably would have re-read the power brick a few times before I tried it just to be completely sure, but then again...

Skaarg: Hey, you're only 6 posts away, I'm sure you could make that before Wednesday, even with legitimate posting? I'll still be checking eBay auctions regularly in the mean time (today I was outbid $12.62>$12.12 for the console only... stupid class kept me from sniping). Yeah, get me a quote on that, you can PM it to me if you'd like. A games list would be great, if there's nothing in particular that caught my eye I'd still get one just to have something to fiddle with. What store do you work at, and does it have a website anyway?

    Thanks!

    Same as a MegaDrive, yes.

Source - eBay have several, as do Best Electronics and B & C.

Games and controllers are pretty essential!

Broken ones would be horrible - it's likely to be a custom chip.

Well, there's broken and then there's "Broken". Ive had plenty of systems that just needed a good cleaning or a capacitor (or two or three) kicked the bucket. Relatively common, very easy to fix. Obviously, a non-operational system would be priced VERY accordingly, IE cheap.

Not usually so with Atari. Broken means BROKEN! They didn't do things by halves ;-)

    Well then.

    Anyways.

Even if people just have controllers only that they're willing to get rid of, I can always piece together a system.

Yeah, I've been checking eBay. Just keeping the option open that people have stuff they want to get rid of, like "I have an extra controller and a game I don't want" or something.

I didn't know about B&C, they look to be a good one to try. Thanks!

Snagged a like-new, in-box system (with Cannon Fodder!) from B&C for cheaper than ebay would have produced. Now I suppose I'll just need more games!

    I'm lookin' at you, skaarg!

Well glad you found a good system. I hope you enjoy it. =) I go back home thursday morning and work that night so I'll get you a list of what's available. Not sure what exactly there is because an employee bought a lot of about 30 jag games about a month and a half ago, but we get some in transfer once in a while. So depending on how I feel you'll have a list late thur. night or on friday.
