Mostly for parts. Better price for the higher chance it can be repaired.

    Any model.

I've got a bunch at the store. Most need new lasers. they are easy to swap out but I have more than I need anyway. What are paying for just a deck.

I hadn't fully decided but a fully working XBox around $55-60 (what they go for locally used) in good looking condition. Tad more interested in ones minus harddrives or that boot but flash red/green or red/orange.

Needs a PSU, ~$20 since most seem to take out something on the board that prevents them from booting.

I still have a tonne of parts in my garages, but sadly shipping overseas simply makes it not worth the cost, shame as i really could do with clearing out the space :crying:

If you have some working Samsung drives (or at a push some Philips ones) then I could take a few off you. :D If I never see another thompson drive in a cold day in hell again it will be tooooo soon.

Yeah, i have a couple of working sammy drives (605's) and some philips as well, personally, i think thomson drives are under-rated, i still have one in one of my media xboxs and works like a treat!

The XBox I had 6 months post launch had a Thompson and read everything I threw at it. Got a Sammy model here and it doesn't like a lot of rewritable media.

I run a number of xboxs for a long period of time (at least 8 hours and day, 7 days a week at least 8 months in a year) running a single game so the drive never gets opened and the Samsung drives have been the most bullet proof, needing a quick clean every so oftern, where as nearly all the Thompson drives I have had have failed.
