WTB: CDU921S CD-Caddy

Hi,
im looking for an CD-Caddy. I buy some models on ebay, but they dont fit for the CDU921S. I think each company make her own caddy..
Maybe someone here can sell me one?

That's odd..
will the caddies for a CDU-948S do?
I have a number I can verify work fine.

 

My CDU921S is updated to CDU-948S. Will be great if you can sell me one please.

 

PM me an offer and I'll test one (or however many you need) this weekend and make sure the ones I pick out for you work fine.

Personally I haven't found any that Don't work- but I AM using ancient sony caddies I've had for years...

Also, you can update the earlier models to later firmware or something?

 

Sorry I haven't dropped a line back to you- I want to make sure the caddy i send to you does indeed fit and operate fine, not just rely on memory there. my devkit is a little in parts at the moment waiting for the rackmount case to arrive so i've gotta find where i put the drives.

Have you Win9x driver for the CDU? Win98 have some CDU Driver but not for the 921S.
I set it up on Win98 with CD-Gen on a Adaptec1540. I installed EZSCSI V3.1 and the "newest" ASPI Driver(V4.1). CD-Gen Controller not found the drive.

 

I'll get a pic of the caddy once I get to work, I've verified it in my drive last night. message me over your shipping address- I can get lots more pretty easily if you're in need of them as they match the ones I use on old ~early 90's~ macs...

Personally, I use aspi_471a2.exe in 98, xp, and win7 for the drive using an old 2490 card with no issues- I don't have a copy of cd-gen, but all versions of cd-dvd gen I find work fine with it.
