    Hey Guys,

*CURRENT* I looking for a couple of replacement cases for the original Playstation. If you have any of the following please let me know:

    Clear/Transparent Black
    Clear/Transparent Green
    Clear/Transparent Red
    Clear/Transparent Purple
    Clear/Transparent Clear
    Clear/Transparent Yellow

*OLD* I'm looking for a Green Playstation 1 Debugging Station DTL-H1201 <-- I think that is the correct Model Number for the NTSC/U Console.

Wow that is a good price, pity it's missing all of the essentials.

I would never pay that much for a Net Yaroze. A modchipped PlayStation is better than a Net Yaroze for games and development except for the additional RAM that Net Yarozes have. It basically amounts to a black console at the end. I would say $10 is a steal for this, and ~$15-$20 a good price.

If I could find one for that price it would be awesome but I can't. Trust me I've looked ever where for one.

You've not quite grasped the hang of this collecting lark have you? The finish on the Net Yaroze console is divine and it is easier to knock up a concept on a Yaroze then it is on chipped machine, plus it will only play imports and not pirate games.

It's well worth purchasing, complete Yaroze systems fetch way more than that and there's nothing to say that you won't come across the other components sometime to finish the set.

I have no interest in developing for PSX but I'd love to have a Yaroze, such a nice looking machine.

I know and I totally agree, I have several things for sale on eBay at the moment, none of the game related in hopes of getting the money to get that system and hoping that the system stays available till Monday but I realize more than likely the system will be snatched up before then :crying:

Maybe it's because I'm not a collector, but I do not see any point in getting something like the Yaroze just for the looks except for reselling it at a much higher price than the one you got it for in some years. And these things actually fetch an high price only on the Internet. Many are bought from flea markets for few quids and then resold at a ten-fold price. Just because the seller was able to somehow put everything together doesn't justify the big price - for instance he could say the A/V cable is the original Yaroze one, but it's the same as a normal PS1 one in any case...

I go to the local flea market almost on every Sunday and the prices for PS1s are very low (they never pass 5 euros) and they are almost always modchipped. That is just like a Yaroze (or even better, a development machine) it doesn't have the finish on its shell... I agree the Yaroze and dev shells are very nice looking but for the price they fetch I'd better spray paint the shell of one of my PlayStations to make them look like one.

Unless one wants to buy a Yaroze/Dev as an investment kinda like they do for wines such as the Dom Perignon. I do not really see that value in old hardware I think it should be used and programmed again, but is it a safe investment?

I want a Net Yaroze for 3 reasons:

1st. Its the only Playstation that was ever released that could play any games from any region. I don't know why Sony didn't do this with the Playstation 1 and 2, the Playstation 3 is region free which I love.

2nd. The case . . . I love the black case, yeah I could paint one, yada yada, install a modchip and call it a Net Yaroze, but its just not the same . . .

3rd. It would be added to my ever growing collection of Playstation 1 hardware. I have a Blue Debugger Station, 3 PSOnes, and a PS1. It would be neat to one do say I have ever model Playstation 1 ever made, from the Debuggers, to the SCPHs.

I think its a case of to each their own. I want a Net Yaroze Primarily to go along with my Blue Playstation Debugging Station, but also to have an official Sony Playstation that can play any games from any region without modding is freaking awesome!

Although you never want to use the pads or the machine as they have a really nice matt finish that scrathes far too easily, that's why I left mine in the box, very safe and very sound....

I do consider myself a collector, however at the same time if I'm going to buy a game, console, or accessory, regardless of how rare it is, I'm going to use it.

That being said though, I take great care of my consoles. My Playstation 3 Slim looks brand new still and I have owned it over a year.

Yes I have kids, but they don't get ANYWHERE near my games collection, just my crappy Nintendo Wii

Do they really have extra RAM? I was under the impression they all had 2mb.

I've read conflicting data, some websites say they have extra ram, other say they have the standard memory that a normal playstation would have.

Disjaukifa, why don't you buy one of the many that are on Yahoo auctions website?

I'm not really sure where to look. I though only Yahoo JP still had auction sites, and I do not understand Japanese at all, I've never had to do that before. If you could send me some links that would be amazingly helpful! I'll take all the help I can get!

Has anyone used any of the above services? I'm new to this so any feedback would be great!
