I'm Looking for a commodore 64, preferably the original not the Commodore 64c. And preferably with a floppy drive and the cables.

    Anyone?

That one's not too yellow either! Mine's just nasty looking now.

Are you in the UK? I have a boxed one with tape drive if you want it.

Yeah, update your profile to mention location, or include it in your post. These would be prohibitively expensive to ship across the Atlantic, and voltages would be a problem, anyway.

BTW; I'm still looking. I sent princess an offer and she didn't take it, so I asked her price. I'm still waiting on a response. For the record: I don't need the box and if it's a little scuffy looking thats ok. :)

If you want something that works and is likely to stay working then I'd go for a new 64c and an old 1541.

The old 64 power supplies are horribly unreliable plus the chip count is huge, the newer ones are a much much smaller board. I opened one up that is based on the 64-e board and half the case is unused.

On the other hand the 1541 is built like a aircraft carrier, the 1541-ii is all soft plastic and breaks if you look at it. Another alternative is the oceanic oc 118n, which is nicer looking, smaller and faster. I love mine.

I need the original breadbox one to fit a keyboard overlay so I can use it as a synth

The thing is that Tacoma, WA mean nothing to those outside the US. I don't even know what state WA stands for.

    Washington ;-)

If you have someone use the 'comma two-digit-state-abbreviation', you can be sure they're American, and have no concept of the rest (i.e. majority) of the World not understanding their system ;-)

I may be wrong, but isn't Isabela in Europe? I'd really stay away from European machines if I were you - postage will be a killer!

C64 synth?!? YIKES!! :eek:h: Reminds me of the old Datel synth / speech / drum add-ons you could get!

The music maker one? Awesome I always wanted that.
The 64G was supposedly made because of that, although it appears that didn't get a NTSC release.
