Dreamcast using hacked BIOS -- Katana devbox-style bootup intro with region-check removed.
BIOS is flash ROM so you can flash to whatever else you want, including stock intro w/o region check, or even DreamShell BIOS, using the DreamShell BIOS flasher program.

Tested with Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, official NTSC-U, NTSC-J, and PAL GD-ROMs.
Console only (with stock modem, of course).

Asking $75, which includes cost of shipping to Austin, TX as well as Paypal fees.

If you need a controller or cables with it, I can add that for small extra $.

 

Wow, darcagn, that's pretty awesome. It's a bit more than what I was looking to spend on a second console, but i'll give it some thought. Is this BIOS different than the other standard replacement, region free ones you can find on the forums for sale?

 

That's a pretty good asking price.

BTW, there is no "standard replacement" BIOS really. Most people swapping out the BIOS like the Katana boot-up animation and go with it but there is absolutely no reason you can't reflash it to have a stock BIOS modified to be region free. Or flash Dreamshell on there too.
