    Hey guys,

I'm currently enquiring if anyone has a prototype PlayStation 3 with the designation, DEH-H1000-A. I've heard these particular systems are quite rare to find for sale. It would be desirable to see one still functioning but if not, that's perfectly fine.

If anyone has one, don't hesitate to give me a message! I'll leave a few images for reference. One of the images is from a fellow Assemblergames member, Jackhead.

For the record it's a more transparent shell with 1 slightly different board
It's basically the same as a DECHA00A system. Just in case you dont know what you're getting into. They're still rare though and that shell is neat.

    Hi PixelButts,

Thanks for the information! I already have a DECHA00A PlayStation 3 and have fallen in love with it! I found some differences throughout the PlayStation 3 Development Wikipedia and it states things like that it's approximately 600 grams heavier than the normal PlayStation 3 models. Are there any more differences with them such as the XMB or is it very minor differences to look out for, like what you've stated?

    Kind regards,

I was just wondering, are there any other prototype PlayStation 3's that are similar to this one? If so, I would be more than interested in seeing one and if they're willing to sell, please don't hesitate to give me a message! I heard spongeonfire had two different versions (of prototypes that are unheard of in terms of specifications and use) quite a while ago and I'm unsure if this particular person goes on Assemblergames anymore.

    Kind regards,

Only this one is what matters, and even then it's not the biggest deal
    • prototype Switch board (CSW-001) & Wifi/BT Board (CWI-001)
CBEH models are rare as they're preproduction retail systems, DEH models are more common but theyre much more interesting to poke at than to actually use.
Basically any of these and their variants are probably what you're looking for. I cant say there's TOO much interesting happening with them except the DEH-Z1010 which we know about but have never actually seen. The DEH-FH1500 system is also strangely common.

I've heard about the DEH-FH1500. They are a bit of a strange one. Don't they have everything the 40 and 80GB's have, like two USB ports and no backwards compatibility? It would be nice to see if anyone had a DEH-H1000A on video as all I have found is just images from this site and the PlayStation 3 Development Wikipedia.

    Kind regards,

Sorry, I forgot another piece of media I found some sort of information from. It was on YouTube, I think it belonged to the PSM3 magazine division. They somewhat showed what the system can do (I think it dates back to September/October, 2006?). They explained that these units had two status lights instead of just one (Eg: when switched off would show two red lights and when switched on would show two green lights until a disc was inserted then it would be like normal; blue and green) and when it was switched on it wouldn't beep like every other PlayStation 3 would.

    Kind regards,

Just a quick question, PixelButts. Do you know anyone who would be willing to part ways with their unit? It's ok if they won't as I understand these units are quite desirable amongst many people and as you stated are rare to come by.

    Kind regards,

One more bump for good measure. Hahaha. I'd be more than willing to buy one if anyone has one that they're willing to part ways with.
