Like the title says, I need a drive spindle for my Dreamcast. You know, the little circular black plastic piece that attaches to the drive motor and spins the disc. All I need is that little plastic part. I've seen them on eBay before, but there seem to be none for sale currently. My Dreamcast is an NTSC-U HKT-3020 model. I don't know if more information is necessary to know if another spindle will work or not. Maybe someone could help me with this. I'm located in the US, but I'd be willing to buy from another country if the shipping isn't too bad. Reply here or send me a message if you can sell me one of these.

How do you figure that? I would expect such a small part wouldn't be very expensive, and shipping should be fairly cheap since it's small and light - especially if it's in the US. $22 is more than what the total cost of that should be.

Just want to share my experience - I needed a spindle for a dreamcast back in 2002ish, and because it was easier to find I used a spindle from a PS1 which looks like a typical spindle you'd find in a walkman. What I found out is that the DC's 12x gdrom drive spins the disc too fast for this type of spindle which does not grip the CD as tightly as the DC's spindle, and there is a lot of slippage and then the disc wobbles and can even fall off the spindle and get badly scratched by the still turning spindle. If I needed to source a part now, I'd look at laptop cdrom drives, even external PCMCIA ones from 10+ years ago tended to have something that locked onto the disc a lot tighter akin to the DC's spindle.

I have a spindle now, or at least I will in a day or 2. So, I no longer need one, unless there's a problem with this one.
