Hello, I am interested in a Dreamcast Karaoke Add-On thing. Preferably with box and not mint (due to monetary issues ). Anyway I don't have too much money but make $10-$15 a week (because I am 14 and can't get a job in the U.S. until I'm 15). Also, I would be interested in the Dreamcast Broadband Adapter if anyone has an EXTRA or if somebody has one they want to just get rid of (again due to monetary issues). Thanks in advance!

I hate to say it bub but both items are extremely rare and will cost a shiny penny. I know the broadband and LAN adapters go for at least $100 or better. Not sure on the karaoke ad-on since it was a Japan only item.

I figured, but it was worth a try here. Also, my friend got a DC Karaoke Add-On for only $30 just F.Y.I. so I was justseeing if anybody here would have one.

Just out of curiosity, why would a 14 year old want the karaoke addon? You had to download music from Sega's karaoke servers which were a. inaccessible outside of Japan, and b. shut down long long ago.

But I have seen two going on eBay from a UK store but they are selling it for £115 which is about $185, an extremely shiny penny for something that's unusable.

Still don't get discouraged though, there are plenty of cheaper addons and games that can help your collection!

Oh yeah if it was a reasonable price then it does make a Dreamcast look even more space age, where did you find yours? I only every really look on eBay for Sega stuff, I assume there are better places than eBay for imports :p

Mine was indeed from eBay, the power supply was gone when I bought it but I figured it didn't matter since they are useless haha!

I thought so too! I didn't fancy paying £100 for one.

I think the big design problem is they're limited to composite video.

With the Karaoke AddOn were you able to download and save the songs to your VMU, or did you have to have an active connection?

That would explain why I never got mine working.

I think it actually streamed the song and lyric data from the servers the VMU wouldn't have enough storage to save that much, so yeah you'd need a constant connection.
