Prototype = anywhere in development past conceptual; A generalised name for either Alpha or Beta.
Alpha = Still undergoing structural and gameplay changes
Beta = game is overall complete, but is still being tested for glitches.

Just thought I should clear that up.

    Sonic Adventure E3

I've got an E3 GDRom of Sonic Adventure, the GDRom is exactly like the japanese Gd of the final release though the disc is region coded for US. But the content is different you have a menu to select the levels and some of them look a bit different than the final release. I can post pictures if I can find them. Though the disc is not up for sell.

    Cheers

If it was USA limited Edition he would have said so, but he said E3 version -_-

If you can't read, don't bother looking ;)

Well, I had only heard of a USA, Japanese, PAL, Limited edition, & International Edition.

I had thought maybe it was mixed up with the Limited edition since I heard it came with certain dreamcasts, but what the heck, doesn't matter.

Does someone have a beta, proto, alpha, or E3 Sonic Adventure *FOR SALE*? :smt022

This is just to put it out there...but how much are you actually looking to pay?

Hmmm, I don't really know. I'm willing to bargain a reasonable price someone suggests.

Why? Do you have one for sale? ;-)

Just wondering, do those E3 and Limited Edition versions you guys are talking about feature the infamous Panzer Dragoon-like dragon in the Sky Chase level, the lost "floating ruins" level and a different game with Big The Cat where that frog can be seen jumping along with him?

I remember seeing all that in early videos and screens from the game, but I have no idea of how far had the game been developed when they changed those things.

Hum... Interesting I'll have a play through my E3 demo, I don't recall anything like this although I didn't play much with it.

    No they don't

    Hi IceKnight :)
Did you get my email ?

-- end of the private message...

Just see a bit of history ...
    - The Sonic Team's Sonic Adventure Press Conference have been held in August 22th 1998
    - Sonic Adventure Japanese have been released in December 1998 in a total rush...
    - E3 of 1999 happened in May as well as The E3 Trial Version of SA
    - And the Sonic Adventure Limited Edition for Rent date from July 1999
    - For the the release of Sonic Adventure International around September 1999

    Well.. it means,
to have a Proto, or Alpha or Beta
you need something before november 1998...

Right now nobody have a such thing.
I guess only japanese magazines and Sega have such stuffs...
or maybe a few lucky ones...

Would the regular US version & the Sega All-Stars US version be slightly different in game-play? I've had 2 full rips of Sonic Adventure with one being slightly different, in that there were extra folders in the iso data (DPTEC, DTEC, etc...)

I do have the E3 Trial version of 1999
of course there's some slight changes with the japanese
    but nothing big
most changes are in the voices and less glitches

The images you did show on your first post comes from the version of Sonic Team Conference in August 1998

I never heard anyone having this one...
    even japanese magazines...
