    Can be official or not. European seller preferred but it depends on the total price really. I'm in no hurry to find one.

    Get an official one, all those aftermarket cables are junk. Mine broke within a few months. Hold out and get an official one some where.

    You were absolutely right. First I got a Gamester HD box together with a cheap replacement Xbox but as it turned out the component box was only designed as a RGB cable replacement. Anything above 480i produces an image with severe ghosting on my 1.1 Xbox.

    Then finally I bought an original HD box from a forum member and it works perfectly on all resolutions. Well worth the price (mine was 26 USD shipped which I think is pretty fair). So stay away from non-official component cables or so-called HD boxes.
