WTB: Famicom + Disk System

For some strange reason I've decided to pick 1 of these up. I'm not really into famicom games much and can't really find a use for it other thna a desk ornament, but what the hell hehe. The units must be the Japanese models and not the asia versions and in good condition and complete with all hookups. I couldn't really give a crap about games, boxes or manuals though. Not looking to pay out the ass or in any immediate rush, but due to my impulsive nature if 1 doesn't pop up to my requirements soon I'd have probably pissed me money away on some other crap instead!

What you really should do is get a Famicom Jr. A/V and just get bootleg carts of Disk System games. ;-)

Send me a PM LeGIt, I've got a Famicom and Disk System (unboxed but perfect condition) which I would let go if the price is half decent as Im trying to get some cash together for an Atomiswave motherboard.

I got two FDS games gathering dust... not sure if they work though

 

'Eh well if the Famicom and DS aren't tested either, doubtfully they work. About 33% of the Famicom out there have a damaged CPU because someone used a wrong power supply and about 90% of the Famicom Disk Systems have broken drive belts due to their age. It's simply not possible to have a good condition belt unless the system was never used or replaced. (Original) FDS games on the other hand are more like 99% going to work, they never wear out unlike pirate disks. I've got like 20 Nintendo disks, all work. I've got about 300 copied disks, only about *30* work!

 

If it doesn't work I won't lose too much sleep over it, never really was into Famicom and even back in the day a lot of the games were shitty, I just figured it would make a nice desk ornament, but today I wish I rtaher bought an MS optical desktop with fingerprint scanner :smt042 I'm too impulsive .. but oh welll ... atleast my desk will be pimpin when I get everything together :smt033

 

Everyones buying up famicoms for desk ornaments! Is it some conspiracy? I've noticed that a lot lately.. as if it were fashionable to have a FC+FDS ontop your HDTV? (haha) the console is way old, dunno why it's all the sudden drawing so much attention. I guess most foreign collectors are moving on from SFC to FC, I know at least Americans are. If I didn't just sell a FC+FDS set, I'd have one for you cheap seeing how they were broken I could gut some of mine too if you just want the case.
