I just need a FAMICOM. Cosmetic condition doesn't matter but it must work. I tried eBay but the prices are INSANE. I understand shipping will be a bit if I get one from Japan, but famicoms must be everywhere and cheap. If I am ill-informed, feel free to correct me. Also, I do not need the AC adapter. That will undoubtedly contribute quite a bit towards shipping, therefore, no thanks. Anyone in Japan or elsewhere that can help me out? Also, before anyone suggests it, I will be checking out some Japanese auction sites, but they always have a "middle-man charge" which defeats the purpose of trying to get one cheaper. Thanks in advance for any help.

    This one is still cheap:

And yeah, I never understand those Famicom prices on ebay - it's bullshit. Famicoms can all over yahoo, they are extremely common and nowhere near scarcity. I guess sellers just wanna make Western people THINK they are rare while in fact, they are as rare as an ordinary PlayStation. But if you want to import a single Famicom unit, the middleman Yahoo solution will become too expensive and it's not worth the hassle anymore (except it's a big set with games that lowers the average price for each item). I would suggest you try to win an actual auction on ebay and ignore the BIN crap. Or try Famicomworld.com, some members sell them for fair prices there.

Thanks for the link. I have a few saved in that price range but in my experience they shoot up in price right before the bidding ends. Most likely I will just have to keep a look out and hope to score one on eBay for a decent price.
