    I've been wanting one forever, but prices on Ebay have reached the absurd for my tastes.

    I remember years ago on ebay you could get a good condition one for 50-60$. But I never had the money.

    Either way, I doubt anyone in a western country would part with one for a low price. It'd be cool to see what the prices are in shops in Japan haha....

    prices up in akiba: 100 bucks
    prices in some hard offs out in the pampa: few bucks

    yep 10k yen is about right for the gold and silver ones loose in akiba, about 4x that for a special edition. Bought mine for 315yen in a hard off....
