Wow that is a nice deal. I've seen component cable sell for $120 here in the states. Excellent deal! Too bad PAL games don't do progressive scan on the GC.

 

thank god for imports mad they removed 480p out of PAL versions but on the up side PAL cubes were wired for RGB scart

 

i think the down side is PAL cubes can't use japanese mode. affects some games if true.

 

yep that is true f-zero is one game were all text and even the HUD is miising when loaded on a PAL console

but can be fixed using a action reply.dol and a simple code

 

yeah f-zero jpn left in the unfinished english translation. still has awkward phrases like "By stick LR." and "Please choice.".

I managed to get a set off eBay for $55.00 plus shipping. It did require constant searching but there are tons of programs/apps that will aid you. Also, in my experience, those cables that are said to be available via GameStop tend to be mislabeled multi-console cables . I have heard of people scoring GC component cables cheap before, so it could happen.
