    I know how hard these things are to find new, but I'm hoping one of my fellow schmucks here has one. :thumbsup:

    get a broken gbasp with the old screen: AGS-001, take out the reflective film, use soldering magic and vuoilla!

    Interesting. I'm guessing you'd have to find a very early GBA SP model to get that screen then?

    It's not hard to find them. The later AGS-101 models are much harder to find/more expensive (and are not usable for modding because of the backlit screen).

    Best is to look for the plain silver models and ask the seller if it's really model AGS-001. Not many people are interested in GBAs with broken screens, I've got some for 1-4 € each and was able to use the frontlit film to mod NeoGeoPocketColor consoles.

    No you can't.
    But you can separate the frontlight from the first generation GBA SP screens and install it in other handheld consoles.
