Looking for any pre release copies of any GH and RB games (or generally any rhythm game in general).

Looking for early copies of GH1, RB1 and a Guitar Hero 80s build featuring I Want Candy mostly, but anything will do.

I was always curious if there were any prototype guitar controllers out there in the wild, I've never seen one.

Also interested in this, I know of some GH Live prototype hardware, but the original prototype guitars for GH1 that used the different button layout haven't been found (or even pictured).

There is also a Rock Band drum/guitar prototype kit that is on display at the Bradford Science Museum. A photo can be seen here http://collection.sciencemuseum.org...rmonix-rock-band-prototype-material-prototype along with this blog post by Harmonix showing the early production of the instruments.

Closest thing I have is an unreleased plate promoting Bob Seger when his music came to GH World Tour in 2009, it's signed by the developers at Neversoft.

Nice, faceplates are an area I find interesting, it seems a lot of bands have their own designs despite not being involved within the games, for example, KoRn (not involved with the series until World Tour, yet have a GH3 Faceplate), Panic At The Disco (Not involved at all) and Fall Out Boy.

I'm more interested in the software side of these games, but any unreleased stuff is interesting. Might open a thread in the Rare and Obscure Games section once I have more info on early game development.
