as the Topic says, i'd like to buy a japanese Famicom.
Dont know why but eBay Sellers and Shops are always waaaay over the price someone would pay on (for example) YHJ.

So if you want to sell yours or know a good shop please PM me or Post in here!

edit: system should come with controllers/cables. no box needed and the condition must not be like new. I just want it for playing :)

how much are you looking to pay for it? Getting a Famicom is easy but shipping is what may kill you if you aren't looking to spend much.

Of course, I did not count in the shipping, I know that this is going to be expensive.
I mean, I see them going on YHJ for like 1-2.000 Yen while the cheapest on eBay is 40$ for an "untested, might not work" famicom.
So I think paying 20-30$ for a Famicom would be a good price (without shipping).

Yeah that's possible. So I could get you a Famicom with controllers (hardwired some modles aren't they?) that looks decent. Should have a power pack too. Do you also need a video out cable? Postage by surface should be only 15 to 20 USD.

I thought the original famicom only had rf-out which doesn't work on non-japanese tv's due to the specific signal output ? I was always told that if i wanted to get a famicom for use in europe i'd need the newer famicom AV which has AV-output.

as far as I know it is different but It does run on older TVs where you can manually adjust the channels (that's at least what is written on DP). And yes I have such a TV.
Yakumo i'll write you a PM soon.

The original has hardwired controllers and outputs NTSC RF only. It can switch between Japanese channels 1 & 2; Japanese channel 1 is ~90-96MHz, channel 2 is ~96-102 MHz. In North/South America this complies to analog cable channels 95 and 96. AFAIK, to use a Famicom via RF in Europe, you'd need a universal tuner (and NTSC-capable display) since the channels sit between PAL cable channels S03 and S1.
