I Korean wii costs $220 dollars here, second hand is not really an option unless I see one kicking around on facebook or in the ESL cafe's. PM if you want me to start digging for one. I have no idea about shipping rates either so I'll have to enquire about that also if you're serious about getting one.

Despite my sig. I'm actually quite unprepared for requests, although I did manage to successfully find a copy of GT Concept, Tokyo seoul.

I was at the official Korean palace on sunday, they had a set of 5th century stones all denoting the chinese years....I'm year of the Ox. It's a pretty camp picture but I like it and I was stuck for an avatar.

New (never powered on) would be slightly preferable (see http://hackmii.com/2008/07/factory2) but I'm flexible. I *am* sincerely interested, if the shipping won't be outrageous.

    Thanks!

I need to visit the post office next week so I'll grab some info on shipping costs and weights and get back to you.

one thing to remember that with EMS you have to use the official carton from the post office. If it doesn't fit well you will have to get one of many small companies/shops to pack for you to satisfy the post office - no 1st hand experience but my sis-in-law told me this...

What's the difference between SAL and EMS? (Is it worth the $14?)

As far as packaging goes -- when it comes down to it, all we really need is the console itself. It would be nice to have the rest of the packaging, but not essential -- if nothing else, we could just cut up the box and include the panels inside the box (just for the novelty of having the Korean Wii artwork).

If I understand it correctly, we'll need to buy a game separately, since the Korean console doesn't come with Wii Sports. It's too bad that there's no Korean Zelda: Twilight Princess ... but there'd be no challenge in that, eh? :)

Thanks to everyone for your help so far!

Since they don't need to keep any compatibility with korean Wii, an eventual release of Zelda TP will propably have a fix to avoid a stack overflow. So in a way, it might be even more challenging :D ;)

Edit: But they probably don't fix the current released TP because millions of vulnerable copy are allready into circulation... So compatibility with current game save isn't the show stopper for big N Right?
