WTB: Memory Stick Pro Duo 4GB

Legit ones. LeXar,Sandisk,Sony will do. I am not in urgent need but if anyone of you guys can spot one cheap in the shops near you or have one for sale please let me know the price. I want one for my PSP.

No boot legs/OEM/fakes please.

p.s. do they not sell them where ur at? prices have dropped quite a bit since i payed $80 for mine. I can probably get you a link to buy one online if you want. otherwise i can get them in stores here for above mentioned price.

I have a bootleg 4GB that works just fine, I've had it for about a year now...

 

Actually you'll probably want to avoid Lexar, I know dozens of people in the PSP community that have had problems with them...

If you get a bootleg one and it works - fine, but some of them don't work at all. Feckers sell 'em on Ebay to unsuspecting bidders as real ones.

 

They are actually impossible to tell apart from the real deal by now. The new copies are SO SCARY GOOD that you could probably trade them in for real ones at a store.

I had 2 new generation bootlegs, ofcourse they both broke after a week, but they look exact;y like the real sony stick. The only easy way to tell them apart seems to be checking if they do support magic gate, by actually inserting them into the psp.

Otherwise there is not much you could do with them besides:

 

I usually check with one of my distributors first and then I check pricegrabber for the best price for flash memory of any sort.

Cheapest I can get a Memstick duo for from my distrib is $58 and thats with shipping. Pricegrabber has them at $48 with shipping.
