US WTB modded Dreamcast system only VGA, Bios and HDD mod.

I am looking for a fully modded Dreamcast no accesories or cords needed. I would prefer to keep the price as affordable as possible.

I prefer somebody in the USA as I am located in Texas. I am looking for one which I can have the Dreamcast self power a laptop SATA hdd if possible.

Something clean looking similar to this if it can be done.



For gods sake don't cannibalize the modem port. I do intend to eventually play this Online. I just want to easily be able to connect a modern hdd to it. Also, if that can't be easily done, maybe making the SATA and power cables go inside the drive bay so I could just put a laptop sata drive inside where the disc drive bay is and flash the bios to read directly from the HDD might be a good idea if the back can't be easily done as in the picture.

I did this mod very often.
I never seen anyone putting SATA into the Dreamcast and never anyone powering a hdd direct from the psu.
I wouldnt do it myself, cause the psu isnt that good and stable.
Until now i didnt hear from Dreamshell russia that they have implemented booting from hdd right away, maybe in the next Rev. of Dreamshell.
But there has to be a workaround if you dont want to keep the gd rom, cause without the drive board the system wont boot.

I can show you some of my mods i done and where i placed the IDE connector.

My friend voultar over at tiz made that mod, but he doesn't want to start selling them with the sata adapters until Dreamshell can handle all Windows CE games.

Yes I think the pin 43 on the board is 5v with this mod and people are wiring up a molex to them to power small 2.5 inch drives as that is more than enough to run laptop hdd's. Alternatively people have done CF and ide to usb adapters and they also can power many flash devices and some external hdd's.

I can show you a mod that does this but he is from Brazil and used the modem port.
