Looking to buy a modded Xbox with a large HDD already installed, pads, leads etc not a problem but must be UK as shipping from anywhere else would just be insanely expensive. Payment by PayPal, cash waiting.

I've got one that can take any H/D and is a version 1.0 so could have the extra memory added to it (got a dead 1.5/1.6 that the memory could be taken from too) but it needs a reflash/modchip and PSU (1.6 PSU can be supplied, if cables are cut and soldered it will work fine), H/D can be supplied.

I'm guessing the above is some sort of 'cut and paste' job if I'm reading it right, and I've no problem with that if the price is right, however any technical undertakings are way out of my league I'm afraid, be it flashing, chipping or soldering etc. If you can do what's necessary how much are we talking?

Ah, well you'd need to get a flashed mod-chip into it for it to work, so soldering is required.
I've not got an xbox modchip, assembler is selling some but they'd need to be flashed in a working xbox first as far as I'm aware (I'm unsure)

Nope, bought one from Assembler and it had a v1.0-1.5 in bank 0 and v1.6 in bank 1 so if installed correct it should boot.

This is beginning to sound complicated. And expensive, lol. I have a chip with a white clip for a 1.6 model here, it was intended for my 1.6 Crystal unit, but have no idea about fitting etc. I opened the Crystal up but couldn't work out where I had to hammer the staples so I put the bugger back together and gave it up as a bad job. I'm going to have to think this over as it sounds like a bit of a mither.
