I believe they're called megajoys, I would like one to take apart, anyone have one cheap? I saw them for 30 bucks at the mall but didn't think to pick one up when I had the chance!

You can normally find them on ebay pretty cheap. This one is on ebay.co.uk

hahaha, those things looked so hokey when I saw them at the mall. Why not just buy a DC and use NES emulators?

dont quote me on that, but afaik, almost all post-polystation nes-clones use the noac.
pick up some cheap clone that doesnt look too ancient on ebay and you should be fine.
my suggestion would be to never buy them new.

    Portability.

    Yeah!
Any tips on finding NES clones on ebay? I've tried every search phrase I could think of "NES Clone" etc, and wonder joy etc and can't find any.

Price is reasonable but they ship to the UK only...thanks for the link.

  8. The RumbleStation is a cool one because it contains all the Color Dreams games (which are now legal whether as ROMs or on machines like these because Color Dreams released them into the public domain). They're also probably the most well made controller style Famiclones out there. There was also a model that had all the Wisdom Tree Christian games on it which seems to be very rare. I saw it for sale once, but it was $50...damn greedy Christians. I'd love to pick one of those up, though, so if anyone sees them for sale anywhere and remembers me, I'd appreciate it.

I would suggest contacting the seller to find out if they'll ship to wherever you are.

Failing that, fill out the location details on your profile, introduce yourself in the correct thread, and get to know some people on the board (i.e. post a bit more). Then maybe one of the UK members would be happy to bid on one for you. Alternatively, offer some good references, from a known forum perhaps, or if you've dealt with another member, even better. I believe you were setting up a shop - did that take off? Still going? Link us to your site, that's a good credential.

Same goes to you SFD, you've been around a while so if you want something, just ask!

£3.50 postage to the UK - well, 900g is £3.27 by First Class, £2.90 for 800g.... 900g is £8.97 to the US, it seems, and you can add £3.50 if you want it insured.

So, for one of those units to the US, you're looking at about £26, which is just over $45.

I have a NES/Famicom clone called the HandyFami. It is actually designed to have your GBASP plug into it so you can play your Famicom games whereever you go. The screen is ofcourse scaled and I'd only use that as a last resort. But, it ofcourse works as a system on your TV. And it has an adapter for the NES cartridges. It can be played with the controller on the main unit or you plug in the 2 pretty nice controllers that came with it.

I can't remember what I paid for it but it couldn't have been all that much. I remember I wanted to get one of those things for fun but the NeoFamis and such were always high priced.

Anyways, if you are interested and in the USA I might consider selling you my HandyFami. It is portable though I'd recommend having a real display other than a GBASP being plugged in. Also it's best to use famicom cartridges to plug right in than to use the adapter.

Ofcourse if you take it apart and customize it you could rework everything you want and you'll have easy taps to composite video and the like. There's also a feature on the HandyFami that lets you input video. I played Xbox on my GBASP screen once. It was pretty amusing.
