WTB NES Power Lead - PAL System

    Just acquired a NES and a box full of games but no power lead if anyone has a spare one or knows were i could get one be very greatfull cheers

    Im pretty sure you can use a genesis PSU

    Be sure that your replacement PSU outputs 9V DC (Mega Drive uses 10V DC).
    You won't fry your NES, but there will be a nasty hum during audio.

    The PAL NES and SNES both use AC current. OP would need to buy the original PSU (can be either the NES or SNES PSU as they're identical).

    that would be fine if i had pal SNES but i dont

    for certain does the megadrive put out 9v or should i get one of those multi use plugs with the switch on it to change the voltage

    Both the MD and the multi-volt adapters output DC, so I recommend you don't use them. You should be able to get hold of a second-hand official NES/SNES PSU off eBay for around £5 to £10 delivered.
