My current version seems to have connection issues with reality, looking for an older version. Think that might solve the problem. Don't have cash but have plenty of **** butt on hand.

What do you expect? Any serious protest has been met with a 30 day ban.

Childish yes... But sometimes being childish is the only way to get the point across, especially when people are being banned for little to no reason.

I disagree. GamerAlex complained, respectfully, about a particular new rule thinking it was targetting him. In that case, i was the one who replied explaining he wasn't following the forum rules (from June 2nd, 2016). He understood that and thanked me for clearing that up:

    https://assemblergames.com/threads/...les-are-now-being-enforced.67220/#post-952816

He could still argue and not like it, but he uinderstood he had to follow them.

The biggest problem is that any change here becomes chaos. You never put yourselves in our place.

You have every right to think a decision is stupid and/or authoritarian, but the response is just as bad. It gets tiring having to see grown men and women acting like them can't follow rules, instead of trying to reason why some changes might be bad for everybody.

Again, i disagree. To me, it only makes it worse. The moderator team are from all over the world, different time zones...
Me personally, would prefer to spend my time not having to solve riddles or understand rage /angry people not following the rules.

This goes both ways though. Sure, you can just ban everyone who disagrees with you, lock every thread that talks about something you don't like and otherwise lock down the forum with an iron fist. What happens after everyone is banned or leaves though? What is the endgame?

Again, not condoning some of the behavior, but seriously, people need to take some things less seriously than they are. Yes, everyone here is from different time zones, different backgrounds, different upbringings, different opinions, different senses of humor, etc. There will always be people acting out; you're not going to stop that unless you just shut down the site.

You want people to "walk in your shoes"? Perfectly reasonable, but you need to be willing to walk in theirs as well.

I have this late beta version of our beloved dictatorship, dated shortly before the latest regime change. Do note that it doesn't work online any more though (the latest server protocol has much stricter ingame rule enforcements, rendering the old player characters incompatible), so any changes you want, will have to be applied to your local copy. But feel free to distribute those changes to other players via whatever outside channel you wish.

Considering that i command entire smaller companies to do work in NYC, I'm very well aware of what carnage change can cause.
However, large portions of the site rules have been changed at the same time with immediate effect, and failure to adhere is met with absolute judgement.
In any setting, be it a forum or change in government, sweeping immidate change without time to adjust has never ended well for anyone.
Public reprimandation is also a means for children to be humiliated into submission.
We are not children here. We can hand out reprimandations in an adult like manor.
Also consider the very lax tone that has been accepted here for years. You cannot expect that change overnight by simply banning people. Youll just cause further exedous from here.
