Mostly those units are NTSC-J or NTSC-U, hooked up to the TV via Scart or Cinch cables.

They should not be the most expensive units, but it all comes down to completeness and condition I guess.

There are plenty of good games for PC Engine :)

    Hope that helps.

If RGB matters to you be sure to read up on the mods beforehand or buy one that's already modded.

I think you should be able to get a PCE or TG16 for $40-70---varying condition, materials that comes with it. Plus shipping. If I recall, I paid 60 for my Core Grafx II PCE.

Depending on the model/accessories you get, your stock options for video are RF (White PC Engine, TG16 w/o turbo booster) or composite (Turbo Booster for TG16, Later PC Engines (Core Grafx I & II)).

Don't know about th price for Star Soldier---I've been meaning to pick it up, though. I have Final Soldier and it is excellent. Looks cheaper for PCE (~20 USD) than TG16 (~40).

Edit: Looking at eBay, the prices on PCE stuff seem to have gone crazy lately. Maybe the holiday?

Still, even at higher prices, PCE is still worth it, and you can probably get Star Soldier and some PC Engine to you for under 100 USD shipped.

Yes. Though I believe it takes a tricky mod to run TG16 hucards on PCE, unlike the other way. No simple user friendly adapter due to region issues or something.
