WTB (Pending acquisition of money): MCD BIOS eproms from broken units

Hey, so, do you have a broken Mega CD (any model under the sun) lying around? Are you doing absolutely nothing with it. Do you have no plans to sell it as a parts system. Well, lemme know because, if you can remove them, I need BIOS eproms. The model doesn't matter, even if it's been dumped. I'm going to get together a collection of BIOS eproms to catalogue version and chip numbers. This may rot in here for a while as I am unemployed at the moment, so money is a bit tight, but I, more than anything, want to see if this is a plausible idea (mainly unsoldering or prying off(please dont ;_ the EPROM to just mail it and save a buttload on shipping instead of mailing the whole console which is just junk anyway. If you are interested in this project, please let me know via this topic or a PM. I'll keep you in mind and whenever I can get to the point of paying for shipping and whatever gratuity you want to take for the EPROM. Thanks, hugs, and kisses (jk ;P).

Edit: And please don't go ripping EPROMs out of perfectly working systems, I don't want Mega CD blood shed indirectly by my hands, that solves nothing ;_;

 

I have a multi mega asia bios needs to be dumped i have a stack of bios chip from busted stuff one thing is there such thing as asia mega cd games?

I know there are PAL Asian MegaCDs (At least stock 1 and 2 models). No clues on the details though. Contact me if you ever get that dumped, I'm helping gather bootrom info for the Gens/GS emulator in hopes that a ROM database can be built to tell users what will work best for emulation in the program (I personally wanna go in after that's all done, document hardware changes, and add support to emulate different hardware versions, but I don't have the technical knowhow for that )

 

I have a Model 2 American SegaCD somewhere with the board nicely fried but the BIOS chip should be fine. I'll see if I can dig it up.
