    Looking for anyone out there with a PS2 prototype of RE4. I know someone out there has something. Willing to pay quite a bit, PM me :)

    Huh whats the big deal with this one? Just the only one you don;t have yet? I am sure I have one but you know my deal is already.

    That and the fact its fairly recent. So Im sure someone here has one, and they'd probably be more willing to part with it than say Resident Evil 1 PSX Prototype.

    What would be so special about it? (Yes, i'm curious).

    The PS2 is a port of the finished GC version + extras (Weapon + new modes), right?

    I think early GC builds would be more interesting, like RE 1.5.

    Well, I've been able to hack the debug menu out on a number of development versions of RE4 for the GCN so Im anxious to see if I can do the same on some development versions of the PS2 version.

    The PS2 has a new campaign entitled Seperate Ways (Another Order in Biohazard). Its got a new Saddler boss type, so it would be fun messing around with this model in other locations.

    So far the earliest build of RE4 I have contained files which were intended for use on the Bio 3.5 demo which was scrapped. They were so close to making a playable demo for E3 but the game was canned.

    If you really want to waste time, I have a detailed look at the debug menu for the Resident Evil 4 Trail Edition and the Biohazard 4 Trial Edition versions of the game. I havent updated it in a while, Ive been quite busy but its still needs more coverage for the Biohazard version.

    Thanks for the links. I haven't played RE4 (PS2 port) that much. Probably only like 10 minutes.

    Anyway, good luck finding more info on this. :thumbsup:

    Theres a whole lot more where that came from. I havent even revealed what I found on some of the prototypes I have yet. Hopefully I can find the time soon to publish something.

    Did you find out how to enable the debug menu with an AR code yet? I can enable it by changing some things on the disc (same as with PN03 but that is one game that absolutely will not stream as a GCM), but I can't be arsed to do it for the PS2 version (especially as I would have to buy it first) and don't have an NR writer to do it for the cube version (I seem to remember the GCM didn't stream either)

    I dont think it can be done on the retail version of RE4. Its missing some critical files. I may be able to "port" them but Im not sure. I havent looked into it yet though as Im still in the process of ripping my GCN releases to my PC.

    Im not one for hacking ar/gameshark codes. Never could get the hang of basic things ;)
