WTB: PS3 reballing service

Friend of mine handed me a 1st gen (fully backwards compatible) PS3 that gave up the ghost for a YLOD after a mere 15-20 minutes of me playing around with it. She said it was overheating and would shut off which suggests to me that the solder joints may have been expanding rather than a lack of thermal paste.

I can see that there are plenty of services being offered on eBay but I don't know how reputable they are and I'd sooner trust someone's recommendation here (or services rendered) than a stranger on eBay - especially since this isn't my PS3.

And I rather dig the girl.

 

I don't personally do it- but I have a guy locally who does in Portland Oregon. He has been doing them for me for about 3 years now (probably about 40 systems by now) and has about a 75% success rate (which is high) with a six month warranty. He is not cheap, but Pm me if your interested.
