dunno- that's the pic from PSYQ2.PDF ( the manual for the external playstation psy-q)
i'm guessing it's the same card as the 32x one based on general design, but i'm unsure...

Not true, the psx and saturn ones are much different. I have a big box of them, and the smaller ones for 32x, megadrive are far harder to get.

The Saturn and PSx ones include hdd emulation. I am not sure if they
would work with a 32x or other unit...

It would be interesting to see, I don't know what the possibilities of
damage to the target device might be however...

I am a bit wary of parting with my doubles on those cards.

ASSEMbler, Could you please look for the software for that card? It must be a PSY-Q FD disk. May be you have one somewhere.

    I need a PS-X version.

Is this the Playstation Board which is mine It came from the same sale???

If so if anyone has a Mega Drive/32X board we could do a big swap and every one will be happy!

Assembler- your mention that the Playstation (and saturn cards) include emulation makes me wonder- Do you know if this would do it:
It came from the same auctioneer as IcarasNick's above, who I also got the external cart off of (for which i need above diagrammed card according to the docs).

The odd part is that mention of DIP switches... I can't say I've ever seen a picture of a psy-q card with dips before, just the all-too-familiar jumpers.

If you think the emulation off the normal internal emulation card I have might do the trick, I'm willing to try it if no known alternate with dips is known of...

I agree- it seems odd that a "scsi" card wouldn't have proper "scsi" output and would instead damage something.... and a device that expects a "scsi" card would be wired differently as well... especially when i'm seeing industry standard 50 and 25 pin connectors here.

In looking at the advertisements posted on the first page over in the serial accessories thread, it looks like the card IcarasNick has is the one shown.

If you have a spare one that matches, Assembler, I'd gladly buy it off you- loose is just fine as well. Local US shipping is always a nice benefit.

I do appreciate the offer, but I'd be open to offers as well for just the card as discussed.. I had mentioned Assembler as He's said a few times that the card you have, I believe he has more than just doubles of- than and he'd be far closer and faster to ship to me.

    We'll see, regardless.

Open to other offers as well.
    Thanks

    EDIT-
further documentation strengthening the argument that the basic yellow card should do fine- In the bbs docs I ran across a document stating that actually just about any scsi card as long as it's using a specific NCR chipset should work.

Good luck in finding what your after

Now I'm off to find me a 486 motherboard with 16 bit ISA slots.

So, back to the topic on hand- I need either a DIP model OR the one IcarusNick has shown in this post.

    Anyone? (preferably in the US)

    thanks!
