I'll be receiving a Panasonic Q and I know just how shitty their DVD drives are. I would like to program an interface to be able to run games from alternative media or the network if need be. The Qoob pro seems to have onboard flash so I can put my own application on it without needing to burn it to a disc or occupying a memory card slot. Willing to pay international shipping on this. Thanks!

Why not just use a regular Gamecube with a Modchip and FTP, Why break a rare system?

If the drive is broken already, (which it may be after a rough shipping experience) I don't see why it's really an issue. Honestly through I want to be able to do some things potentially with the LEDs/lcd if possible and wanted to use the USB port as a keep alive for serving network software.

As for the viper, I searched but couldn't find a definitive answer on compatibility or a guide http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/uk-worldwide-fs-nos-gc-viper-extremes.31907/page-3

Viper Extreme has 16Mbit of onboard flash memory. I boot Swiss from it, with mine. I think there is a full api out there too, for programming Viper applications.

By compatibility I meant Panasonic q compatible, if it is, viper extreme might be the way to go.
