Discussion in 'Want to Buy Requests (WTB)' started by Panzer88, Feb 1, 2010.

    Rare Consoles:

    1. Sharp Famicom Twin

    2. Hitachi HiSaturn Navi

    3. WonderMega Model 1

    4. Sega Mark III or Sega Master System Japanese Version

    5. Panasonic Q (Modded or Unmodded, both are ok)

    6. PSX (any model)

    Arcade Motherboards:

    1. Sega Titan Video (ST-V)

    2. Sega Model III

    3. Sega Naomi and/or Naomi 2 kit (preferably with GD-ROM drive but not required)

    4. Sega Hikaru

    5. Sega Chihiro

    6. Sega Lindbergh

    7. Sega and/or Namco Triforce kit (GD-ROM drive also wanted)

    8. Neo Geo MVS

    9. Sega Model 2

    to run these games you just need the motherboard (which I'm asking for) a power supply (a pc power supply would do right?) the game software (board, cart, disk, etc) a monitor, and joysticks/buttons right?

    I've also heard of some Jamma pin converters being required.

    what kind of pinout/plugs do they use to plug into monitors and joysticks?

    Arcade Cabinets:

    Sega Aero Table

    Sega New Net City

    Sega Naomi International

    I live in the United States, is the shipping impossible or just expensive?

    what all do you mean when you say complete? the game and the motherboard?

    Navi saturn - are you after just the console, or screen too? (Tuner?) What sort of condition? (Both boxed mint with all the trimmings is very htf now, VERY) What sort of budget to you have?

    I only ask the above (in slight breach of this foum's rules, sorry mods) as I have 2 spare navi sets, both with console and screen (sadly no spare tuner), that I would consider parting with. So answers to the above would be great and inform me as to whether I might be able to help you (or the opposite and save us both time if I'm unable to assist)!

    hmm, after looking for what they normally sell for, especially a full set like that, I don't think I'd be able to pay for a fair price at this time.

    Please understand that it was a serious request, I wasn't just trying to waste your time, but with the arcade gear I'm acquiring I don't feel like I'd be able to get it all at once.

    I suppose I should have thought of that before putting it up, but anyone else is free to offer him a price, I give up my Original Post rights on this one. Also, I may be interested in the future, but I'll contact you, and again, I give up any First Poster rights so if anyone else wants one you can bargain with him.

    Sorry for unintentionally wasting your time, After I collect some of the arcade pieces I have my eyes on then maybe we'll talk.

    that said, the highest I can offer you now is $300

    Chill. No need to be so apologetic! No time wasted!

    The tone of my post was meant as 'I'm not actively looking to sell, but if someone's after one, well why not', that's all. Just faffing around with piccies takes me forever lol.

    Enjoy the arcade stuff. What did you get? ;)

    I have the above consoles that are available:

    1. Sharp Twin Famicom --> $159
    Notes --> CIB and I think I have an extra drive belt with this
    Pictures --> http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/pg80-sharp_twin.htm

    5. Panasonic Q --> $199
    Notes --> CIB but box is written on\taped; unmodded
    Pictures --> http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/pg00-q.htm

    6. Sony PSX DESR 5100 + 2 DESR-10 DualShock controllers --> $425

    I also live in the US so shipping wouldn't be too crazy (like a heavy unit like the PSX). All are tested and fully working.

    Drop me a message\email if any of them pique your interest.
    Thanks!

    Terry

    1) Sega Titan STV motherboard. Check on eBay, they turn up all the time. You Just missed aryssoR (member here) selling one on another site for £25.00. Guess you could PM him, just in case it falls through.

    2) Sega Model III motherboards are hard to pick up on their own, but try a seller on ebay.com called bbu97159656tcy - he sells a lot of what you seek, so just check him for ALL the stuff you have listed.

    3) Sega Naomi 1 & 2 are very common on eBay.com, also with private sellers. You should join http://www.sega-naomi.com/forum/index.php and post up a request for any Naomi / TriForce material.

    4) Sega Hikaru, again check on forums or private auctions / sales. I have seen a couple sell recently. http://www.jammaplus.co.uk/forum/default.asp or http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/index.php plus 100 other forums you might want to try. It's not so common to see.

    5) Sega Chihiro. There is a guy in Italy selling one on http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/index.php - his user name is STV, but it's not cheap. TBH, the Chihiro is really difficult to get your hands on and never cheap! Sometimes it's actually better to find an entire arcade cabinet with a specific motherboard inside it than get the motherboard on it's own ;-)

    6) Sega Lindy. Rare, rare, rare as it is current. They are expensive and I have no idea about obtaining one as I have yet to investigate it. You could try the only two people I know who own one Serantes (member here) or AndyGeezer on http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/index.php who owns an Arcade Supplies company. Expect it to be a very costly piece of hardware.

    7) Sega Namco Nintendo Tri-Force. Cheap as chips these days. Try Craig at http://www.giz10p.co.uk/ as he had them for next to nothing. STV on http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/index.php also had one, as have other sellers. However, if you are buying his Chihiro he might cut you a deal on the TriForce. Bear in mind, there is very little on the Tri Force worth bothering about.

    8) Neo Geo MVS. All over eBay or various forums / sites. They are common and a cheap entry point for arcade gaming.

    9) Sega Model 2. There are some on eBay.com right now.

    Arcade Cabinets:

    Sega Aero Tables. You'll more than likely have to ask around on US arcade sites or import one of these at great cost. There was a guy in the Netherlands who imported several of these recently into Europe and they were £900 per unit and they got snapped up!

    Sega Naomi.................... cheap eBay, forums and private sales. You'll be able to pick something up even if it's just a project cabinet. They are easy to work on. Just ensure you get one with a good monitor otherwise it becomes an expensive replacement (almost as much as the cabinet again!)

    However, you might be interested in this. There is a guy in California currently selling off a project Sega Astro for next to nothing.

    http://forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=8769&p=113216&hilit=Astro#p113216

    Best of luck! ;-)

    Wow Paris thanks so much for the info!

    Do you happen to know good places to look for Triforce software?

    namely

    Mario Kart GP1
    Mario Kart GP2
    F-Zero AX

    Mario Kart GP1 / 2 are two of the most difficult to get your hands on as they are still very good earners for most arcade operators. The other problem with Tri Force is that most games have different I/O requirements, therefore you will end up with a pile of additional hardware. Again, with the above you are better off looking for the actual arcade units themselves.

    F-Zero AX... I have seen 2 arcade units sell for £1000 or so, but the software only once on it's own. I am not familiar with it.

    Being in the US means you are dealing with a totally different market place and you may find exactly what you are looking for by just hunting long and hard.

    As will all arcades, the older and the less popular and the more run down units are easier and cheaper to find until they become "classics" and then the prices start to go up on them. Good titles retain their value and newer material is always expensive whether good or not. Witness Taito Type X2.

    If you need particular guidance and information then try Arcade Otaku and make yourself known.
