WTB: Region-Free Dreamcast (US)

As the title states, I am looking for a completely region-free Dreamcast. Unfortunately, I do not have the resources to mod one myself, so I am willing to pay someone to do it for me and then ship it to me. I live in Minnesota, USA.

This guy might be able to help you out. He installed a region free bios on my DC and it works like a charm. He is based in the US

I tried going through him earlier this year, but he stopped replying to my messages even after we had mostly everything figured out. So, I assume he just became really busy and didn't have time for it. The last thing I want to do is bother someone, so I'd like to see if anyone else provides the service before bothering him again. I don't want to be pushy!

 

Yeah I've been very lenient myself. Prefer not to ask for another job started when our current one is in progress.
My modchipped DC happens to need looking at sometime, among other things.

 

I guess there is always the user here Bad_Ad, who does the same service, but is based in the UK.

 

That must've been a while ago as I don't seem to recall you messaging me. I still have spare Dreamcasts and loose BIOS chips around, just gotta pull them out and verify the lasers are good.

You have been, that GameCube of yours is still sitting here safely awaiting me finding a laser that works well. I pulled out my spare GameCubes earlier and found all three would read pressed discs fine (which was a shock to me, one was completely dead at one point) so I should have something for you before the end of the month. Got plenty of time around Thanksgiving this year.

You can actually buy a SD card adapter with DreamShell here: http://dc-sd.com/ instead to Region Free your console super easily! ;D

 

Except that doesnt help you get a region free Dreamcast in any way.

 

I think he is under the false impression you can reprogram mask ROMs.
