WTB: Saturn Chip/ Action Replay 4-1 cart

If someone knows where I would be able to get one, or selling, thanls

 

you know the mod chip and the 4 in 1 perform different functions don't you?

Mod chip allows booting Cd-r's, but doesn't disable region protection
4in1 disables region protection but doesn't boot cd-rs.

the 4 in 1 is cheapest through ncsx, lik sang etc, and the only place I know of selling the mod chip is here: http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/shop/saturn/saturn.htm but there must be more places on the internet

 

You can play CDr's with action replay, bit of a pain, but can be done.

if you just want diff region play then why not install a region switch mod. There not that hard to do.


And its even easier to just convert american to jap by changing jumpers.

I have 4 saturns that work right now. All started as US NTSC Units.

I bought a mod for the saturn from Robwebb a couple of years ago...and a super ufo just last month - he's a reputable seller, well boxed/wrapped...in the case of the super ufo it was refurbushed but the condition was excellent, looks like it was given a thorough clean up b4 despatch.

Rob webb is ok....bit pricey, but OK. He sold me a copy of fifa 98 on the saturn (i was bored, it was cheap) a while back, but all the commentary was in italian. The description didn't say it was in english, but also didn't say it wasn't. So in my experience, He's not great, pretty soso

 

So what would the switchless mod on GameSX.com do? Disable region protection, allow CD-R, or both? In the latter case, would it be moot to buy a chip/card if you have the soldering skills?

 

Switchless mod only disables region protection. Modchips and the swap trick are the only ways to play copies on the Saturn.

 

jandaman's site is trustworthy. Greatsaintlouis has bought from that site before, he mentions the site whenever someone brings up a thread like this one here.
