WTB: Secret Of Mana US SNES

I'm trying to get a hold of this game and really don't feel like fighting other bidders for a $45 price on eBay. Does anyone here have a copy they want to get rid of, or stumbled across at a flea market, or anything like that? I have cash at my disposal as well as limited trade goods - inquire if interested.

 

Would you be interested in the PAL version?

 

There *may* be a copy at my local EBGames, although the price wouldn't be much less than $45. It's also a loose cart. I'll drive by there this afternoon.

 

Holy hell, EB is allowed to eBay gouge on games too? That sucks... but yeah, if you're in the area and happen to stop by there, if you could do a price check for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Antipasta: Oh, no you don't! I still remember that Rakuga Kids cart you sent me! :angry Seriously though, if you know of any way to get a PAL SNES game running on a NTSC unit, I'll be all over it like a fat kid on candy.

 

Well, I vaguely remember that the SNES's video output is governed by a jumper setting on the system's PCB (like the MD) as opposed to selection in software (n64, PS). If a PAL game isn't PAL-optimized, it should run just fine provided you use an import adapter (the kind with 2 cart slots)

 

If they did have a copy, it's gone now. EB has a bad habit of jacking up prices on games. I've seen a copy at an EBGames in Rocky Mount, but that was about a year ago, and the price tag was $45. There's an independently run video games store here, but you'd probably end up paying even more.

 

Hmm, sad. So it looks like, pending some lucky find at a pawn shop like I did with Chrono Trigger a few years back, I may just have to pony up and get a copy off eBay.

Anti: Thanks again for the offer, but I've got a feeling that if I were to track down an import adapter, it may have just been cheaper to buy the US version.
