Hello, as my title states, I need a SEGA CD model 1 disc tray, as my SEGA CD doesn't have one. I could probably use a regular CD tray, but I don't have any around, and personally it would look much better with the original tray.
    Thanks in advance!

(I looked through multiple rules threads, and didn't see anything against new users buying, only selling and auctioning, though I could've missed something.)

Gamedoctorhk.com has what you need I just bought a name plate and front bezel for dirt cheap from him for mine. Just search mega cd tray. his shipping not bad either under ten days, usually half that time is stuck at the usps intl sort facility lol.

Cool, I was able to buy those and a FDS power supply for $42~ total, a little pricy IMO, as the shipping was half of that, but finally I am closer to putting this thing back together.

Yea shipping sucks, but everyone else was trying to charge 50 plus for just those 2 pieces not counting shipping. Frankie, the guy that runs the site actually posted these parts by request, he's a good guy.

I have an fds too, I just use the 700ma adapter, and I've used it for over 10 years no problem it's voltage that seems to kill the regulator not the amperage. But I do love the red tip on that ac adapter :)

I've been using a 3rd party NES/SNES/Genesis plug for my FDS, and it works good, but I'd prefer to have all consoles on more reliable plugs. Also, the site has game copiers and other stuff, so I'm going to have to buy more later.

Glad I could help man! I'm tempted to buy another super famicom and one of those sf doctors myself, sold my old profighter sfc setup when I had to move into a new place for cash. Still have the USB floppy drive and disks lol.

I think my 3rd party SFC cord is causing the issues I have with mine, where sometimes it doesn't power on, instead the light will flicker. It works after power cycle, though.

That means the transformer isn't making a completely flat DC signal, don't use that anymore seriously, I bet if you put an ociliscope on it it will show a square wave, happens when they use shitty cheap diodes and the output is dirty

But it came with it, so obviously it should be fine :p
I've had it for less than a year, so it should be fine until I buy a real plug, probably less than a month, $10 on the site.

That looks really nice, and I got the parts today. Only issue I have now is that I don't know exactly how to put the tray in properly. I can't find any videos that explain how to do it.

it is actually a BIG BITCH. look up sega cd tray install on you tube, explains there's a dead zone that allows you to slide the tray in and out without effort and then it aligns it self after. i had to pull mine out to fix the drive belt. pulled out the sega cd after 7 years all ,y saves were STILL on it after that long BUT the tray stopped working, went to the auto parts store and picked up a pack of assorted O-rings and that worked beautifully. but it took me 3 days of trial and error to get that damn tray aligned. if its not aligned perfectly the tray may not stay open, or may not close etc. now i know how to remove the tray and not jack up alignment so i could do it fast now lol.

Hey, no stealing my offers :p
I'll have to look up some tutorials that have it, because I did look a little bit, but couldn't find a guide dedicated to installing it.

Is that bar below the black gear that has two gears on each side supposed to be connected to anything? Mine just spins, and from what I can tell, is not letting the tray go in easily. I've looked at multiple videos, and they haven't helped me.[IMG]
