WTB: Sega CDX repair services

Looking to pay someone to fix my CDX.
Originally it was an issue where the CDX could not properly read disks and was constantly skipping.
Sent to get repaired, but that attempt was unsuccesful


Now I have a CDX, where the laser won't power on or read at all and I get no disc found when trying to play games.

 

I recommend seeking out APE on these forums. I sent him my CDX and he was able to fix it up. The CDX is a tricky one, so not many people want to work on them.
I'm not guaranteeing he can help you out, but he's the only guy I know.

Yeah, I tried two different lasers, recapped the entire thing with high quality Panasonic caps, cleaned everything no matter how remotely likely it would be to get this thing working and I was only able to get it to boot my original testing disc once fully. Power off/on and it wouldn't a second time in a row. It clearly needs adjustments but I'm not going to dick around with the BIAS and GAIN without a service manual on hand. AFAIK nobody has publicly released a CDX service manual and I'm not sure how much the CD2 service manual applies.
